바흐 평균율 클라비어곡집 (The Well Tempered Clavier Book) 개요 통일성 속의 다양성 '평균율'이라는 말은 서양음악에서 장단음계의 음정을 12개로 균등하게 나누는 방법 및 실제를 나타내는 것이다. ' 순수'혹은 ' 자연'음계. 즉 현 혹은 공기주가 자유로이 진동할 때에 생기는 배음열로부터 음정을 만들어 이를 분할한 음계(이런 음계를 바탕으로 음정을 분할하는 방식을 순정조율이라 한다)는 단성음악에서만 사용할 수 있고, 또한 일정한 배음열에만 적응할 수 있다는 단점을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 자연음계에서 가져온 음정은 서로 정확히 일치하지 않는 경우가 있기 때문이다. 가령 순정조율에 의한 장삼도를 차례로 세 번 쌓아올리면 옥타브 음정을 이루지 못한다. 이러한 문제는 근대에 이르러 피아노라는 악기가 처음 개발되자 특히 심각한 문제로 대두 되었다. 그전까지는 대개의 악기들.. 더보기
